I loved reading this, Doug, and I'm happy that the weather didn't end up foiling your travel plans. I'm so glad MY OMAHA is out in the world, and being well received. I'm looking forward to having a chance to see it. Congratulations to all! I'm also looking forward to "the love letter" movie..... you and Betty and Henri have quite a tale to tell.

Thanks, Peyton! It was quite an adventure, and upgrading to an exit row is always well worth it! Looking forward to diving in to the love letter movie very soon! Hope you're well xoxo

Doug, this makes for great reading and I cannot wait to see the film! So happy to hear how well received the film was and how enthusiastic the audience was. When does it come to NYC?

Thanks, Rosemary. It screened at Firehouse in NYC last Sunday as part of the IRL Movie Club initiative, but that was a one-off event. So if you couldn't see it then or during the two-week period that it was available for free before our D-Word Case Study F2F that might be your last opportunity for a while. We have Argot Pictures booking it for us, and I'm sure NYC is a market he's exploring for early next year. Stay tuned for screening announcements. In the meantime, we're way overdue to meet up for a catch up! Lets make a date via email, ok?

This. When film, filmmaker and film audience connect over distances is what the essence of filmmaking is about.

Thank you for your thorough report on the premiere of "myOmaha" Doug. How can we see it in the Boston area? I tried to find a place but so nothing. Even so, it's great to hear it's reaching smaller towns, which is what little America is all about. May you find fantastic riches at the end of the rainbow to continue the very thoughtful construction and outreach of this strong film. Congratulations to you, Nick, Leo and the entire extended family and crew.

That was "saw no place showing the film near Boston ", above.

Another typo was about how smaller towns are what middle America is all about.

I really enjoy your articles, it makes an interesting and captivating read. I think the photos was quite imformative and interesting, otherwise we may never experienced "My Omaha." Well as for cell phone footage, I have never and will never be a fan of it. Does injustice to quality, but thanks for the try Doug. Keep up the wriring!!
